After spending a decade as a professional Thermographer, John Pratten founded Proactive Maintenance Consultants. PMC is registered as an LLC in Minnesota. Prior to founding the company, John had worked at two prominent infrared companies in sales, sales management and as a thermography expert supporting major clients throughout the United Sates.
John is an ANST compliant, Level III trained Thermographer with Proactive Maintenance Consultants, LLC. PMC has and continues to perform hundreds of thermal inspections for both single and multiple site customers including a number of fortune 500 clients.
Infrared Training from PMC
John has conducted Infrared Training and has worked on various custom infrared applications for customers in Europe, Asia and North America. PMC offers a variety of infrared courses including 4 hour CEU courses in some states, Level I and Level II classes as well as customized classes to fit a customer”s training needs.
One specialty class that has been successful is how to set up a sustainable Predictive Maintenance program to maximize the IR program investments of his customers. This class can include setting up a complete or partial thermal inspection of the clients electrical and or mechanical assets and then teaching the client how to follow the inspection process the following years.
InspecTrend Training and Support
PMC also sells and offers field support and training for InspecTrend software. This software is a tool for the thermographer that allows them to work smarter while improving accuracy, speed and consistency of inspections. The software provides an easy online web-based means of sharing critical information with all stake holders in the company.
Using InspecTrend, PMC offers another software/reporting option for thermographers. We can collect inspection details and images of thermal and visual issues and supply customized reports alone with web access to all data for all stake holders.
PMC also performs thermography work and training in building science as well as thermal scanning. John has also worked closely with state agencies and provided training related to projects to improve the quality of Low-Income Housing.
John has authored several published articles and has a patent in the area of IR.
